The Joint Commission’s Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery (ACSS) elevates your services with evidence-based proof of clinical quality. We have developed the resources below to support sites with the registry requirement for the certification process.

The Joint Commission ACSS is offered in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the ASR, a collaborative effort between the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and AAOS.

Quick Reference Guide

ASR participation is the sole pathway for the registry requirement of The Joint Commission ACSS, and a set of standardized performance measures are also required.

Click here for a guide with a list of the measures and how to view them on the RegistryInsights® Performance Measures Dashboard. The performance measure data must be submitted to The Joint Commission quarterly.
