The Joint Commission’s Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery (ACSS) elevates your services with evidence-based proof of clinical quality. We have developed the resources below to support sites with the registry requirement for the certification process.

The Joint Commission ACSS is offered in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the ASR, a collaborative effort between the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and AAOS.

Registry Office Hours for The Joint Commission ACSS

Is your site currently designated with or pursuing The Joint Commission ACSS? If so, ASR staff will be holding informal office hours sessions that you can attend.

Feel free to bring any questions you may have about the registry requirement for the certification process. Staff will be able to explain the registry data elements that need to be submitted and how to view The Joint Commission performance measures in the RegistryInsights® Dashboards.

ASR participation is the sole pathway for the registry requirement of The Joint Commission ACSS, and a set of standardized performance measures are also required.
